Roadie for Third Eye Blind
Yup–you read right…I was a roadie for a day for THIRD EYE BLIND this past Saturday!! They came to play a concert for our campus November 14th!! Woke up early on Saturday to volunteer some man power to help set-up the stage and unload the equipment trucks. Was super psyched to see that the band’s tour bus was parked right outside, across the street from my dorm room!!
About 30 of us Techers, outfitted in bright orange “EVENT STAFF 3EB” t-shirts helped unload and set-up all the equipment…it was cool to see how organized the whole operation was of setting up for the show. It ran so smoothly, we finished ahead of schedule and got to hang out with the band’s roadies.
I was definitely not complaining when I unpacked the band’s GUITARS!!!
Enjoying the quiet before the storm, and admiring our hard work–it got so crazy later that night during the concert!!
Third Eye Blind was AWESOME!!!
They played a lot of new songs off their new album—but a lot of old favorites of course!! My fave: “NEVER LET YOU GO”
Standing in this crowd so close to the stage at the comfort of my own campus….it was one of those “Only at Caltech…” moments. THANK YOU CALTECH AND ASCIT for this awesome concert!!!
Rock on dudes!!
